Jill's passion for Biblical fiction is evident and one that I totally share! Boo hoo for me since I can't win the book (Hey, Canada isn't that far away eh?!), but I still love checking out your blog (and we have plenty of book stores). ;-)Di Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09111404493202037409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5603395821726298743.post-67559616876447474982009-10-04T21:19:23.438-04:002009-10-04T21:19:23.438-04:00Thank you so much, Lynda, for sharing this awesome...Thank you so much, Lynda, for sharing this awesome interview! I am new on the writing scene (again). It has been years since I was able to write. Now, with the internet and writer's conferences and contests here and there, there are so many things to do and get involved with as a writer. It's almost overwhelming! But at the same time, I'm excited to jump right in! I would absolutely be thrilled to get a copy of this new book! It sounds like it would be one I couldn't put down until I finished it! Thanks again!
Evelyn
workin4EVR@hotmail.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5603395821726298743.post-73258418856183693272009-10-03T17:21:15.851-04:002009-10-03T17:21:15.851-04:00Lynda, Biblical fiction is one of my favorite kind...Lynda, Biblical fiction is one of my favorite kinds of stories because it helps me think of Biblical figures in "real life". I'm currently reading one on the life of Paul and can think of several other books that have given me fresh appreciation for various characters over the years. One "disadvantage" of growing up in Sunday school is that the same old stories can feel worn out sometimes, but fiction can breath new life into the Living and Active Word so that I come across the same old beloved stories and see them in new light. I am not trying to say that fiction should ever replace sound theology, it just helps me wrap my heart around Scripture all over again.

Question for Jill: Are you still a homeschooling mom, or has God moved you fullying into a new season as a writer? I love your thoughts on having something to hang onto and strive for after God closes the door on the childrearing season of life.

Jenni Saake
author, www.HannahsHopeBook.com Seeking God's Heart in the Midst of Infertility, Miscarriage & Adoption Loss
- prayerfully beginning a project on the life of Paul
InfertilityMomJenniferSaake.blogspot.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00187951307787002730noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5603395821726298743.post-1761859047038325502009-10-03T16:59:05.581-04:002009-10-03T16:59:05.581-04:00I love reading and writing Biblical fiction. One of the most intriguing characters is the wife of King Saul. Many times the comments were helpful, but there were a few times when I found a contest judge's comments were based more on style than substance. Still, some of my best friends and mentors came into my life as a result of entering contests.Kelleyhttp://www.kellscreations.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5603395821726298743.post-81186086056687231452009-10-02T09:53:47.611-04:002009-10-02T09:53:47.611-04:00Great interview.
