So this morning I wrote every name down on a square of paper and stood by while my 11-year-old daughter closed her eyes and selected a winner. And just let me say that - yawn - she sure did take her sweet old time - almost enough for me to whistle the whole Jeopardy tune.

Contests are fun--I just entered one on a literary agent's site--one of almost 1000 entries. You submit the first paragraph of your WiP and the winner gets a partial critique, a query critique, or a 15 minute phone conversation with the agent.
I've got more details about it on my own site. Doubt I'll win or even place among all the entries but it was fun to enter.
