Become an Examiner!

So I've been an official Examiner for over a week now and I'm loving it. No, I haven't made a lot of money, but I'm writing about something I'm passionate about and having fun doing it. Plus, I've just been given the go-ahead to post articles on writing Christian fiction and I have just posted my first one. If you're a writer, check out the article here: SO YOU WANT TO WRITE CHRISTIAN FICTION? Be sure and check back for new articles on writing, which I hope to add regularly.

Examiner.com is a great source for information and I think it will only become a more and more popular online location. Currently, there are over 8,000 Examiners and for any given topic, you will likely find an Examiner. For instance, in my category alone, Arts & Entertainment, you will find a Beach Boys Examiner, American Idol Examiner, People Magazine Examiner, Funny Photos Examiner, Celebrity Sightings Examiner, Game Shows Examiner, Non-Fiction Books Examiner, and hundreds of others.

The categories available are:

Arts & Entertainment, Bars & Clubs, Business & Finance, Careers & Workplace, Education & Schools, Family & Parenting, Fitness & Weight Loss, Food & Drink, Gadgets & Tech, Games & Hobbies, Health Home & Living, Neighborhoods & Culture, News, Pets, Politics, Recreation, Relationships, Religion & Spirituality, Restaurants, Sports, Style & Fashion, Transportation, and Travel

Examiners can be either national or local. There are 90 cities across the country that are so far included in Examiner.com. Grand Rapids was added only a few weeks ago and I quickly snatched up the Christian Fiction Examiner position for my city. Check the site to see if your city is available, as well as which topics they need covered. Locally is a great way to go.

So what's required to become an Examiner? Examiner.com says: We're seeking people like you who have in-depth knowledge about a particular topic, a passion about that topic and a desire to share related insights with others.

Still waiting to hear back on my second application. Wouldn't it be funny if they accepted me the first time and rejected me the second time? Thanks for the information.
