Book giveaway - Hearts in the Crosshairs by Susan Page Davis

Well, I skipped a day of blogging (gasp!) Seriously, I haven't played hookie from blogging in a long time and I feel guilty. Please forgive me, as I was busy sending out 50 pages plus a synopsis of Mind over Madi to an agent who requested it, and also preparing a complete proposal for another agent request. That's a great excuse, right? I'll keep you informed on the status of these submissions.

Hopefully, though, today's post should make up for my absence. Multi-published and multi-genre author Susan Page Davis has offered to give away a copy of her latest novel, Hearts in the Crosshairs, a Steeple Hill Love Inspired Suspense. Leave a comment on this post to be automatically entered. The winner will be announced next Wednesday, October 14.

Hearts in the Crosshairs:

Jillian Goff is Maine’s first female governor. She’s only been in office fifteen minutes when an attempt is made on her life. Is her stalker a political enemy, or someone from her past?

The Executive Protection Unit sets out to keep Jillian safe to carry out her duties. Detective Dave Hutchins investigates, but the assassin eludes him. He and Jillian draw close as they determine to outplay the killer—but romance is forbidden between the governor and her protectors. When Dave’s boss hears a rumor, he removes Dave from the case and forbids him to see the governor. But Jillian knows she needs him.

He’s called back into service when she opts for a wilderness vacation. Dave faces the hardest challenge of his life—keeping Jillian alive.

Susan Page Davis is the author of more than 20 novels in the romantic suspense, historical romance, and mystery genres. A native of Maine, she is the mother of six and grandmother of five. Visit her website at

Looking ahead... next Wednesday, I'll be posting an interview with my former critique partner- turned-published-author, Jenness Walker. She'll be talking about her debut novel, Double Take. I'm so excited for Jenness and can't wait to introduce you to her writing. You won't want to miss it!

In the meantime, leave your post here and on Jill's post. Someone is going to win. It might be YOU!

I would really like to win a copy of this book! I would enjoy reading it, I'm sure. Above all, it would be a source of inspiration for me to get started in writing a suspense book of my own. I've always been interested in doing one, so perhaps I can use this new one to help me as well. Thanks for this opportunity!
