Write for Guideposts Magazine

I've been receiving Guideposts magazine for years. It is full of stories that are touching, funny, dramatic, horrifying, hilarious, and heartbreaking. These stories are told by ordinary people who have either had something extraordinary happen to them or have something extraordinary to say.

If you have a dramatic story to share, or have learned a life lesson in a unique way and want to share it with the world, Guideposts magazine is an excellent option.

Guideposts was founded in 1945 and is a non-profit organization. Their hope is to inspire, encourage, and uplift. Guideposts freely distributes copies of their magazine to homeless shelters, hospitals, nursing homes, and prisons. The magazine is also available by subscription. Millions of copies go out each month and it is one of the most widely read Christian publications today. Guideposts in even sold in the checkout lanes of my local grocery stores!

If you would like to submit your story, or the story of someone you know, check out the Guideposts writer's guidelines. Although not stated on the site, according to Sally Stuart's Christian Writers' Market Guide, Guideposts pays around $200 per published article.
