Readers Choice Giveaway!

OK, guys. I have three books to give away. BUT...only one of them will be given away this time around. Here's how it will work: I'll post blurbs and covers of three books. You leave a comment about which one you'd like to win and why. Next Monday, August 9, I will let Random Selector choose one winner and that reader will win his or her choice of books. The other two books will be put back into the kitty to be given away at a later date.

Sound fun? I think so, too.

So here are your three titles. Remember to leave a comment letting me know which book you'd like and why. Don't forget to include an email address so I can notify you if you're the winner.

Good luck!

CHOICE #1

No sooner is Shawn Collins home from the fighting in Europe than he's called upon to serve his country as a war hero on a USO bond tour. Others might jump at the chance to travel all around the country with attractive Hollywood starlets. But not Shawn. He just wants to stay home with his son Patrick, his aging father and to grieve the loss of his wife in private. When Shawn asks Katherine Townsend, Patrick's former social worker, to be Patrick's nanny while he's on the road, he has no idea how this decision will impact his life. Could it be the key to his future happiness and the mending of his heart? Or will the war once again threaten his chances for a new start? READ MY REVIEW HERE

CHOICE #2

Deena Livingston leaves behind a broken romance and her chef job in Atlanta to spend time at her grandfather's cabin in the mountains of North Carolina. But her grandfather has an odd request: he wants Deena to teach cooking classes to the ragtag group of middle-schoolers who attend the local afterschool program, The Center. Reluctantly, Deena agrees, but how is she supposed to convince these kids that cooking at home is better than eating at McDonalds? And after all she went through in Atlanta, why is she attracted to Zack, the social worker at The Center? Can a Dr. Seuss-quoting plumber, a curly-haired basketball player, and a group of middle-schoolers change Deena's outlook on life?

CHOICE #3

Fifteen years ago, Zeely Wilkins and Ron Jenkins were students the school district stopped believing in. Lucky for them, their teacher knew something the principal didn't; they were cream of the crop but they just hadn't sprouted the way people expected. Though they went their separate ways, the past is calling them back to the school and the teacher who wouldn't give up on them. Now they'll have to decide what love really means--and whether they're willing to dance to a new tune to get it. But can they rediscover the songs of deliverance that once brought them together? Or will secrets keep them apart?

You SURE I can't have all three?? (LOL I know the answer to that one!) They all sound very good.

I'll go for "Songs of Deliverance," because, for whatever reason, it appeals to me a bit more than the others. (is that reason enough? LOL)

Three distinctly different stories, it's hard to choose, but I would love to win the "Song's of Deliverance" for my teenage granddaughter. She loves to read and this sounds like a good one for her. But I would take any of them!! Thanks so much for offering them. Have a great week.

They all look good but I'd be most interested in "The Homecoming."

Thanks,

All three sound like good reads. I would like to read "How Sweet It Is." Going from a big city to a cabin in the mountains of North Carolina is a big change. I think it could make for an interesting story of new beginnings.

They all sound good but I'd definitely enjoy reading How Sweet It Is. It's the genre of book I always go for when looking for something new and I like the premise of the story!

I think my choice would be "How Sweet It Is" because my dream is to retire and live in a cabin in the mountians. As long as I had good books to read, a garden to grow my own veggies and a computer to help me write, I'd think I had died and gone to heaven. :o)

I'd love to win "Songs of Deliverance" because my background is in education, and everyday I work with people with disabilities, whom it seems society has given up on, in some way or another.

Oh, that's hard! While I love historicals, like The Homecoming, I think I'm going to choose Songs of Deliverance because it's different than what I normally read. And it sounds intriguing.
