Do You Hear What I Hear?

Shhh...If you're really quiet, you can hear it.

Yep, there it is. The sound of...sleigh bells!

Can you believe Christmas is only 13 weeks away? Wasn't it just yesterday that I was packing away the decorations, putting the Christmas CD's back in their cases, and kicking myself for eating all of those cookies?

If you purused my blog last year, you may remember the 12 Books of Christmas event, where 12 different authors gave away copies of their Christmas-themed books. What that added up to was lots of winners!

Following in the footsteps of last year's success, and since nothing beats giving stuff away, I've decided to host this event again. So get ready for 12 weeks of fun. You'll get to meet wonderful authors and learn about some fabulous books and possibly even win! With 12 chances, your odds are pretty good.

The 12 Books of Christmas kicks off on Monday. Here are the details and the amazing lineup of participating authors.

Every Monday from September 27 through December 13, a different author will be featured, who will give away a copy of her book (I say "her" because there are only ladies participating this year). The authors will also be answering some fun holiday questions and possibly sharing a favorite recipe.

Winners will be selected by RandomNamePicker and announced on Saturdays.

12 Books of Christmas schedule:

  • September 27 - Janelle Mowery (A Woodland Christmas)

  • October 4 - Vickie McDonough (Christmas Mail Order Brides)

  • October 11 - Cynthia Ruchti (Door County Christmas)

  • October 18 - Betsy St. Amant (Mistletoe Prayers)

  • October 25 - Deb Raney (A Prairie Christmas Collection)

  • November 1 - Margaret Daley (A Daughter for Christmas)

  • November 8 - Linda Ford (Christmas Under Western Skies)

  • November 15 - Anita Higman (Love Finds You Under the Mistletoe)

  • November 22 - Lynette Sowell (A Riverwalk Christmas)

  • November 29 - Mary Ellis (Sarah's Christmas Miracle)

  • December 6 - Darlene Franklin (A Woodland Christmas)

  • December 13 - Vannetta Chapman (A Simple Amish Christmas)

See what I mean about awesome? Mark your calendars and get ready. Those sleigh bells are getting louder every day!

At the risk of sounding like a humbug, I'd rather not know that Christmas is only 13 weeks away. Yikes!
