The 12 Books of Christmas Giveaway: Love Finds You Under the Mistletoe

If you've been following along on The 12 Books of Christmas, you know that one of the questions I ask authors in the fun holiday questionnaire is if they've ever been kissed under the mistletoe. Well, this week's featured author knows all about the mistletoe and finding love there, as Anita Higman is co-author of the 2-novella collection, Love Finds You Under the Mistletoe. But has she personally ever been kissed under the mistletoe? You'll have to read on to find out!

Anita is offering a copy of Love Finds You Under the Mistletoe to one lucky reader! Here's a blurb about this delightful book:

Love Finds You Under the Mistletoe: Once Upon a Christmas Eve by Anita Higman

Holly Goodnight's store has just been voted best Christmas shop in America. All the new publicity draws flamboyant novelist Van Keaton to the cozy town of Noel, Missouri, demanding to write Holly's story - a dramatic tale of misfortune and triumph. She is swept up in his world of beautiful words and fanciful interludes. . .until Owen Quigly, her lifelong best friend, launches a plan to win her back.

The second story in this 2-novella collection is Love Finds You Under the Mistletoe: An Appalachian Christmas by Irene Brand.

A promise to her dying sister compels Julia Mayfield to take her young nephew to Mistletoe, Kentucky, a tiny town tucked away in the Appalachian Mountains. Sparks fly when she meets David Armstrong, a World War II veteran like herself. Even as shadows from the past weave a dangerous web around Julia and David, will their love flourish like the mistletoe that blankets the nearby hills?

Now for a little about Anita:

Award-winning author, Anita Higman, has twenty-six books published (several coauthored) for adults and children, and she has been honored as a Barnes & Noble Author of the Month for Houston. Anita has a BA degree, combining communication, psychology, and art. Her favorite things include exotic teas, movies, and all things Jane Austen. Please visit her site at www.anitahigman.com.

Anita's turn to fill out the holiday questionnaire:

Favorite
Christmas carol: The Holy and the Ivy

A family Christmas tradition: When our family gathers around the Christmas tree and my husband reads the Christmas story from the Bible.

A memorable gift you've given or received: It's not very romantic sounding, but years ago I bought my husband a leather jacket for Christmas. He loves it and now years later he still wears it.

Favorite Christmas television show or movie: It's a Wonderful Life

When do you start your holiday shopping? In September or October

Ever been kissed under the mistletoe? I'm sure somewhere in my past I've been kissed under the mistletoe, but it probably wasn't very remarkable since I can't remember it.

Do you deck the halls in style or keep it simple? I deck it all the way. I love all things Christmas, and I love decorating for the holiday!

What food to you overindulge in during the holidays? Buttery dressing out of the turkey! I love it. My mouth is already watering!

I've never been kissed underneath the mistletoe...but it's on my list of things to do someday. The interview was fun. Maybe this story would make me less of a grinch over the next few weeks.

Thanks for entering. I wish I could give away a book to each of you.

I was out Christmas shopping today at the mall. The place was almost empty, but on the weekends it really fills up quickly!
