We all know how tough it is to constantly market ourselves and promote our own blogs. So today, let's get a little help from our friends.
Feature a friend on your blog. Maybe it's a fellow writer, someone you admire, a family member, or all of the above. Post an interview, a blurb about their latest book, or simply blog about how wonderful they are! Then include a link to their blog or website. Help out the people you love by bragging them up and directing a little more traffic to their sites.
Be sure to leave a link to your Feature a Friend Friday blog post, using the Mister Linky feature at the bottom of this post. And also be sure to click on the links found within each blog post. You may just find some awesome new blogs, discover a wonderful new author, and make some great new friends along the way.
My post this week is about my friend, Diane Loew. A few months ago, I was introduced to this "fellow writer" by a mutual church friend. Since then, we've been frequent Biggby Coffee buddies, have attended the FaithWriters conference together, and currently have teamed up to write our church's huge 2011 Christmas production, How Christmas Saved the Grinch.

Here are a few things interesting things about Diane:
*Diane and her husband own a humongous dairy farm with a gazillion cows and loads of employees. There farm was even recently considered as the setting for a reality television show. Cool huh?
*Her blog, http://www.randomramblingsof.com/ is all about her life on the farm. Diane is hilarious! Her writing is a breath of fresh air (as fresh as a breath can be on a farm, anyway) and always laced with her wry sense of humor. You will be amazed at the stories she has to tell. And they're all true!
*Diane never mentions names, but uses code words for her family. Farmer = husband. Son #1, #2, #3, #4 = her four sons. Wigglies = Grandkids. BEB's = Brown-eyed Bosseys.
*She blogs for MLive (Michigan Live). Check it out HERE
*Diane is the best cookie-baker this side of...well, anywhere! Seriously. She used to own a cookie store and thousands can attest to this.
*She has written and published a book! 101 Ways to Celebrate the Ordinary is a wonderful little gift book, filled with...you guessed it...101 ways to celebrate the ordinary moments life has to offer! This book also includes beautiful pictures of her farm and family.
*She works in our church's bookstore, The Word Shop.
*Diane has a true heart for Christ. She is a loving wife and mother, an adoring grandmother, a self-less giver, and a fabulous friend!
Please click on over to Diane's blog, RandomRamblingsOf... and take a few minutes to read a couple of her blog entries. You'll be so glad you did. Here's one of my recent favorite posts: Potties and Panties

You are already my friend, Cathy. :-) And I will be featuring you and your book very soon!
Finally! I have been trying to post a comment all morning. Lynda - you are toooooo kind. Even though I have done what you wrote about, you make it all sound so much better - HA! Thank you all for the kind comments. I've never known a community as encouraging, kind, uplifting and promoting as you writers. I love being included.
I love Diane's warmth and humor--she never fails to make me smile.
As do you, Miss Lynda! Nice new feature to your blog.
Hello Lynda...What a nice idea to feature a fellow blogger every Friday! The book Diane wrote looks very good, indeed. I definitely checked out her blog. So thanks, Lynda! Susan

LOVE this idea, Lynda - and love Diane. Super stuff!
Lynda, they say great minds think alike! I started a feature on my blog at the beginning of the year that is called Friday with Friends. I'd love for everyone to visit me at www.rosemccauley.blogspot.com and this week read about Connie Stevens' answer to prayer. And visit any Friday this year. I have many more friends lined up!
Very cool, Rose! Will check it out. :-)
