Thyme for a Giveaway!

April Love has always dreamed of being a chef. But she didn't expect a former fiancé or murder to be part of the recipe for her new job. When April Love signs on to be an in-house chef at an old lakeshore mansion in Canoga Lake, Wisconsin, she comes face to face with her long-lost love, the drop-dead gorgeous Marc Thorne. It doesn't take long for their old magnetism to recharge, but how can she trust the guy who left her nearly at the altar eight years earlier? Her gut tells her something happened to Marc in between-something he's reluctant to reveal. When April's boss is murdered, Marc is accused of the crime. Unless April can find out who really killed Ramón Galvez, her chances for love will end up at the county jail. But someone else is just as determined she not solve the mystery...and will go to any length to stop her.

I first met Pam Meyers at the 2009 ACFW conference in Denver. She told me she was represented by agent Terry Burns, and a few months later, so was I! Pam and I both had the thrill of receiving contracts from Oak Tara within about a month of each other. In fact, when Terry called me from a writer's conference to let me know I'd been offered a contract, Pam was there with him and got to share in my excitement. Her book came out on November 14, one day before mine. Pretty cool, huh?

I had the privilege of reading Thyme for Love and reviewing it this month for FaithfulReader.com. I love romantic suspense and cozy mysteries, and this one is a little of both. It's a light, fun read, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I happen to have two copies of Pam's book and would love to give one to you!

Simply leave a comment on this blog post and you'll be entered to win. Easy-peasy! Be sure to leave your email address so I can get in touch with you if you're the winner. Winner will be announced next Friday, January 27.

If you'd like to read my full review of Thyme for Love, you can do that HERE.

I've been informed that the Blogger comment page isn't loading. Sorry about that! One thing to try is be sure you're signed into your Google/Blogger account before you try to leave a comment. Sometimes you also have to refresh the page after typing the verification code. Ugh...Blogger is such a headache sometimes.

If you can't comment, please email me at lyndaschab at gmail dot com and I will be sure to enter you in the giveaway.

Hey, Lynda, thanks so much for featuring Thyme for Love on your blog this week. I'm excited that all of you want to read it and wish we could give away a book to all of you!
TFL was a blast to write. I love watching the cooking shows on the Food Channel and Bravo and am always getting ideas for April to cook when I do watch them.
The story behind Chicken George, the chicken casserole April describes as a rich man's Chicken a la King, is that a coworker gave the recipe to me years ago. It was one of those soup recipes where you add a can of this soup and a can of that soup. It's a yummy tasting casserole that is easy to fix and many times I've made it for families who have had a loved one pass away.
When I decided to have April make it for a lunch after a funeral I knew no trained chef would make a recipe from soup. So I went to work and improvised until I came up with a version that tasted even better than the soup version with no soup on the ingredient list!
That's the recipe that is at the back of the book. I made it this past Christmas for a group of friends and they loved it.

If you have any questions about the book, feel free to ask away!
