Because you really want to know...

A few weeks ago, I was contacted by Amy Tate, who manages the blog for Write2Ignite. Write2Ignite is a site that focuses on writing for children but attracts writers of adult material, as well. Amy asked if I would be willing to be interviewed for the blog.

So after I received the email, it took me about two seconds to think over Amy's request. Could she interview me?

Um, yes.

I have to say that usually I am the interviewer. As a freelance writer and on my blog, I have conducted dozens (maybe hundreds) of interviews over the past few years. I love reading interviews with other writers (which is why I love conducting them), just to learn more about them, where they started from and possibly learn something I can apply to my own writing.

Being on the other end of the questions was a nice change for me. I did discover, however, that talking about myself wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. But it was a lot of fun to share my personal journey and have an excuse to talk about my manuscript a bit.

Anyway, if you're interested, I'd love for you to click on over to the Write2Ignite blog and check it out. And, if you write for kids, stick around and see what else Write2Ignite has to offer, including information on the Write2Ignite conference, scheduled for February, 2011.

Oh - and I also encourage you to visit Amy Tate's personal blog, The Virginia Scribe.

Thanks to Amy for asking some great questions. And thanks to all of you guys for indulging me...If you've ever been interviewed about your writing, please feel free to leave a link so others can check it out.
