Looking to Expand Your Network? Then Hop to it!

The other day while spending time on a work-at-home forum, I came across a link to great site that helps increase blog traffic. Maybe you've heard of it - The Blog Frog.

Strange name, I know. But how could I not hop over and check it out? (Groan...)

I'll admit, at first the site was a bit intimidating. But the more I browse, the more I like it. As with many sites nowadays, you can "follow" bloggers and join communities by searching specific keywords. I have noticed that there are not a lot of "Christian Fiction" communities, so it might be fun if some of us started a community specifically for Christian fiction authors. Once you join, you can also "jump in" (another groan...) to discussions about any topic you choose.

Since joining, I've had several members "follow" me. That means that every time I blog, my post shows up on their home page, giving them the perfect opportunity to "leap over" (it's getting old, isn't it?) and take a look. My traffic has jump--er, increased by leaps and bounds (man, I just can't stop!) Seriously, just this week alone, I've gotten at least 60 more hits than a typical week.

Needless to say, it's working. And it's kinda fun, too. Which is why I'm passing the link along to you. Click on the widget below to check it out. Be sure to look me up. I haven't figured it all out yet, so if you're a current member and have any tips to "fly" past me (sorry...couldn't resist one more), please let me know.

Interesting. Didn't spend more than five minutes over there, but couldn't find you searching by your name, the name of your blog, or simply "Christian fiction". Is there a specific url to get to you?

Patricia,

I think I need to set up a community in order to have an actual url. If you happen to come across me on a community post or something, you'll be able to click on my name to see my profile and you can "follow" me from there. But it's in a pop-up screen, which doesn't have its own url. I'll do some more browsing and see what I can find.

Sounds "ribbitingly" interesting, Lynda. Think I'll "pad" on over there myself. It's always good to have new Followers "leap" over to our blogs, isn't it? Susan

I signed up in there. Some great communities to get involved in. It would be great to start one for Christian writers.

Thanks for the heads-up. Sometimes when I blog I feel as if I'm playing to an empty house. Your blog made me wanted. Thanks, Roland

When I tried putting the widget on my blog for followers, it messed my blog up. I had to take it off.

It is a pretty cool site. I'm trying to figure it out still.

Looks like a leaping lot of fun! I like the idea of it grouping communities together. Creative Boot Camps got me hopping right now, but I'll leap over to frog hop when it finishes. Thanks for the information.
